Latest Raffle News

Match Day Events Page: With the appalling weather of the past week or so, both our games and fund raising activities came to a somewhat abrupt halt. With the Swindon/Bristol Rovs home games and the u14s away fixtures against the same opposition all being cancelled, together with the Oxford fixture falling by the wayside, there was no chance of attaining my wildly optimistic hope of our fund raising activities topping the £2.6k+ figure as per the previous update! However, with an additional £95.00 coming in from the Swansea city match on 22nd April, a grand total of £2521.00 has been raised! The £95.00 was made up of £70.00 raffle profit, £20.00 sale of remaining retro shirts and £5.00 "guess Teddy name". This gives us the final figures for the season as follows: 200 Club £1250.00, Match Day Raffles £1026.00, Scratch Cards £120.00, Wrist Bands £60.00, Retro Shirts £50.00, Name Teddy $15.00. Total £2521.00.

Thanks to Dawn for again helping out at the Swansea games (not forgetting Steve's cameo role!) and to all who bought tickets etc. Over the course of the season, many people have helped greatly. Several wish to remain anonymous, but without their background assistance, donations etc we could not have achieved what we did. On match days themselves, Dawn, Chris and Lorraine were stalwart supporters, along with Hayley Price and Karen Ponting who came aboard for the second half of the season. Thank you ladies for all your efforts!Teddy, by the way, was won by Miss Jessica Carter from Longlevens in Gloucester who correctly guessed the winning name of "MIKE". (Don't blame me for that, it was nominated by my 4 year old grandson!!).

Hope you all had a successful season and enjoy the Presentation Evening later this week. Best Wishes, regards, Doug.
